Top 42 Most Useful Firefox Addons

After I downloaded Firefox 3, I spent some time checking out the extensions at the Firefox Add-ons repository. There are a ton of great extensions there. Unfortunately, there are a ton of great add-ons available.

After a couple of weeks of playing with Firefox addons, here are my picks for the top 42 addons most useful. These extensions were tested with Web power users in mind -- bloggers, ecommerce merchants, Web designers and developers, etc. But there are also over a dozen addons that I think all Web users would find handy.

The list is broken down into 3 big groupings and 16 sub-groupings (see table of contents on the first page for an overview).
